If that was directed at me yes I am being cheap. Most of the gear I buy is for the use of my barony. We are in the far frozen north of Alaska and if I don't make it we don't get it. The few others here who are current fighters have thier own gear but the new guys almost always fall to me. Well since I no longer have a shop set up it means that I am buying lots of loaner gear to get people started who we otherwise might lose the the time it would take to get me back into a shop and teach them to armor. So now I am working on loaner gear in preped kits so that they can fight long enough to get hooked and then when I have a sho again or they get the money together they can get thier own gear. Well not only myself but lots of people up here want to try CS and so this is a simple way.

Oh ya that and this is a bit of a joke between NotDukeOlaf2. We tend to keep ending up nickle and dimeing each other on bids.

Time for the "stupid" question...are these SCA legal? You mentioned something about "before prod covers were required" or something.

This IS for my phone bill and GAS for school.:(
CAn we at least keep the bid increments to a DOLLAR (5 if you want to be generous) :D

Sorry to be a bit callous, but I keep seeing this reaction on most of your "sales". You seem to believe that anything you make will sell, and it is our fault for not implicitly recognizing your mastery of them. I agree that the nickel and diming is a bit ridiculous, but this is the third or fourth thread that has you "dying" because no-one is buying your stuff. Maybe you should consider stopping your armoury if there is really so little interest, and investing the time and money into something that pays for your phone and GAS for school. But "pity" posts only tend to work the first or second time around, instead of the 5th or 6th. If you really need the money so badly, maybe you should consider raising the starting bids to pay for your needs.

I appologize for our on running joke. If you had set a completion time it might have been different. You have to realize that the more we spend the less we have for gas, food , etc. As an aside I will bump my bid to $80.00 on each but understand that the more we spend the less we have. If you have to have a set amount make it a sale and not an auction. Just my thoughts.

Edited to correct for sellers benifit.

Whatever

Post by Tatsuo Okami »

Aaron, Last I saw the rules called for a Cover or "wrap" around the prod for "safety" the easiest and cheapest method I saw was a Simple heavy cord cord spiral wrapped w/ 3-4 inch spacing. I have stated these are SCA legal. So I will apply that method to these xbows to INSURE that they are legal. Winner of the bid gets to tape the wiffle balls down their self..

PS thanks Diathi. This Auction is for 1 week or till no new bids. Thank you.

Well to be honest I have a high regard for Archivers and with an attitude like this you are making me rethink spending any money with you. I am trying to offer suggestions not come down on you. We all have lives and we all have personal hardships and challenges. Bringing a bad attitude into bussines dealings may quickly find yourself less many customers. I am trying to be civil but you have taken a rather childish stance that you are the only one dealing with nonideal circumstances and belive me you are not.

OK With this going south as quick as it is I am retracting my bid as not to cause issues sometimes it is just better to walk away Diathi Congrads on the new X bows if you still want them I will not be bidding any longer on them.
