Whitemountain Armoury review

I should have done this sooner but life has been busy.
At the very beginning of March I received my order of a stainless Norman conical helm with medium aventail from Whitemountain Armoury.
Where to start?
I love this helm. It is both beautiful and functional in the extreme. The interior black finish I believe gives it a more authentic look. A great job was done on the finish of the stainless, no mirror finish for me. The fit is perfect. There is small gap between the cheek plates and the back of the helm which is wonderful. For a change I can actually hear people and I get some air flow through the helm.
As great as the helm was, to me it was not the best part of this whole process. Adam was a true businessman in addition to being a great armoursmith. I went through my past emails and found at least 20 emails from Adam keeping me informed of the process. The promised delivery date was March of 2008. I was expecting the end of March, and I was wrong it got here in the first week of March. The original order date was October of 2007.
It was a joy to work with someone who makes great armour and keeps to his deadlines while maintaining great communication. So I wholeheartedly recommend Whitemountain Armoury to everyone I know.
I will try and get some pics posted of the helm (not the most computer savvy).
