They are size regular from what I gather not the super huge man mitt size I can measure the plate across if that would help

Let me know if you would want them

OBTW..... cuz there in kit form you can just deepen the edge fold to fit narrower hands or leave out a finger lame to fit shorter hands....
When you cant just get smalls from Zwie........

Greetings All, and my apologies to NotDukeOlaf2 for the highjack of your thread, I wish you well with your sale.

Normally, I don’t respond to baiting as I have explained before the origins of this pattern and why I made this in the first place, when I first offered these in 2003. But I will say, Tatsuo Okami, that when you first brought up your allusions in this thread from 2004;

http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/ ... ht=#366793

I attempted to respond to you then and you never re joined the conversation. I never claimed these to be original, in my first posts on the subject in 2003 I explained the source for deriving a pattern from several existing gauntlets in use in the West produced from several different armourers. I added my changes, and began to offer them. Most of what we (and I include myself in this community) do here is extrapolate designs from period sources and one another. I only offer the two sizes as my cost to keep slow moving inventory does not warrant a third. I noticed your claim a few months over the design of gauntlets offered by Sir Brand. I know neither yourself nor Yoshi of Tengus forge, but if the idea of mitten gauntlets originated with you, we are in your debt.

This is the last I will have to say on this subject.

I have the trademark on bar grills....

I should be chargin like $10 in royalties for every bar grill made. I'd be a fat happy sumbitch then.

But I'm not. Y'all are just lucky I'm such a nice guy.

I do a face palm whenever people start arguing over a pattern.

Unless it's something revolutionary there are extremely few original ideas that have no connection to any other piece of armor ever made.

Everything people have done is because someone before them did it first. Everything people have done is but an improvement on a design that came before their time.

Not going to bark on it too much. Armor is pretty refined already, people today are really only tweaking what's already there. It's not the wheel, velcro, or the lightbulb.
