Greetings,
I'm looking for someone who can cut me some mild steel lames/strips. i.e. 1 X12 inches, etc
I'd also be interested in any mild steel scrap/left over pieces. Something already cut that I can work with, play with, experiment, etc.
I know mild steel is cheap and can be found in scrap easily, however I don't as of yet have access to the tools that can accurately cut even strips from a large piece.
If anyone can give me a hand or point me in the right direction let me know. I'd rather deal with an archiver or related source.

Look in the yellow pages for an hvac contractor or any other kind of sheet metal shop. It won't cost you much to have them do it. They'll likely do it from their scrap and with the shear they have it may be all of 5 minutes work.
It'll be cheaper then having someone ship it to you. I have all my splints and horizontal plates cut into strips by a sheet metal shop.

check around with local SCA group there may be someone local to you that can help you out.
I can also do the cutting and mail them out if you would like but anthing more then square corner shaped would requite a paper or posterboard copy to be mailed to me. It would be a bit more costly but I can fit a lot in a flate rate box.
