I need some undyed, or a rich red died leather.
Enough to make cuisses, and vambraces out of. So not really enough to warrant buying a side from some place.
Needs to be about 1/8 of an inch thick. I am not sure what that translates into leather oz.
Thanks!

1 oz. of leather is 1/64" in thickness. So an 8 oz leather is 1/8" thick.
Tandy Leather Factory sells 8 oz. leather in single and double shoulders.
Sounds kind of light for SCA combat unless you're adding splints.

I would check
Brettun's Village Leather. You're never sure what he'll have in stock, but if he has what you need his prices are hard to beat.

Yeah, I've ordered from them before.
They don't seem to have what I need at the moment though.
My last order with them was a box containing 30000 pairs of Gold and Navy shoelaces lol!
I will never need to buy shoelaces or arming points for the rest of my life!

Montana Leather is a good company.

You have to buy the leather by the side, but depending on how much you end up making, the cost is worth it, especially for the heavier weight stuff.

Seigel of California is a pretty good source. Worth looking into. They have double shoulders at good prices. They may be large enough for your needs.

You could also try The Leather Guy

If you need something looked at in person, his shop is about 1/4 mile
from my office.
Just a Thought.

I am trying to figure out their pricing system.
There is one piece they have that they ask you order in units of 10 ft.
The description says, usually 10 ft to a piece.
Now do I order 1 piece @ $4.50?
or do I have to order 10ft @ $4.50 a ft?

You have to order 10 ft at 4.50/ft, so $45.
