WTS Butted Mail Haub.

Post by marcus the pale »

16g butted, place I got it from said it was zinc coated. Short sleeve, long skirt (goes to about 1" above my knee), split to the crotch riding style. I don't recommend it for heavy SCA combat, unless you don't mind doing repairs now and again. I used it for a while and it developed a hole in each armpit (not too big, I just don't have the focus to sit down and repair it). It weighs in the 25+ lb range. Originally it was a long sleeve, and I can include the section I took off so you have spare rings for repairs or whatever. Perfect piece to add to your look in court IMHO. I can take a pic if you want, but it really is just your run of the mill mail shirt.

$75 buyer pays shipping

**only selling it to fund more heavy armour bits, not defective or anything, just FYI
**Forgot to add, I think it was listed to fit up to like 46" chest, I'm 6' 195~lbs and about 42"ish chest and I had plenty of room.

Butted mail of decent quality sells on eBay, at least sometimes. If yours is better than an Indian import be sure to mention it.

That's where I got it, lowest price on ebay for this piece is about 100 plus shipping. Just hoping someone would be looking here first and might want a deal.
