Stonekeep: New shipping rates: Bad news but Good news too
Bad News: Okay the PO pulled a fast one on me this past week. Im sure they advertised it, but it sure caught me off guard. On small items it wasnt a big increase at all, and wouldnt be felt much by businesses shipping cops or leather goods etc. On a set of arms and legs however... WOW.. double the price on Priority mail... ended up losing about $400 this week, and prob shipped a good many items at a loss to myself since our profit margins are not high enough to absorb something like that. Shipping rates on larger packages if you need Priority 2 day mail has doubled on our website. Small items very little change.
Good news: They have not had parcel service available. (at least not through our shipping contractor we use) for over a year. This rate increase brought the return of Parcel Post for us, and it claims it is a 6 day service. Im sure thats business days. BUT, if you go with parcel post, shipping iss now much LOWER than was previously available on our website on larger packages. On smaller packages there is not much difference for the much longer wait time.
Soo. I have been up since 5am (now 10am) getting all these rate tables logged into the website which was a Huge pain in my arse, but for those willing to go with parcel it should provide some discount.
