My wife got the fencing blade and stuff today in trade for her backup Samurai helm (the one without the shell) because she got out of SCA heavy fighting…and while I haven’t seen the blade yet, I can submit the transcript that follows (helps to type 80 wpm):

All I see is the foil. You'll like this foil. From floor to chest ...it's got a big bell on it decorated with leaves and whatnot, crossbar with a half moon curve and the handle is just big enough for my hands.

May be a bit heavy for me, but I'll adjust. Oh yes, I'll adjust.

You'll like this, this is nice.

Yes, she laughed when I read it back to her and said, "That sounds a bit erotic..."

But she is very, very happy, and looking forward to fencing now!

Oh, and he sent fencing gear (facemask and fencing shirt) a couple of weeks ago. Here they are on my better half.

And...we got all this fencing gear (blade, facemask & fencing shirt) for ONE sock, plus some other stuff that ended up in the box!

Maureen happy is the gold standard as far as all purchases, IMO. She's very happy now, and I think the foil will hang in the bedroom, on her side.
