Maille Potscrubbers....

Hey folks,
Back when I was working at Jamestown settlement, we used old scraps of maille to clean the pots and pans, and I'm quite sure they were used before the 17th century, so I have two questions for you folks:
1: If offered at a merchant, would you buy one for period camp use?
2: What would be a fair price for a 4"4" blackend steel maille potscrubber?
