Hi everyone! Im trying to do digging around for my shire (that is woefully lacking anyone that can sew).
Im trying to find a source of cheap tunics for the loaner chest. Obviously since it would be loaner they dont have to be nice, just something to get them out there and feel good about not being jeans and tshirt.

Im pretty new to the internet so my google powers are sorely lacking, and i dont know what sites can be trusted or not.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I can happily recommend Lyn Greaves of Thorny Rose as a very reliable maker of good quality, durable, simple tunics at very fair prices. Thornyrose.com, I believe is her website.

I happen to have several tunics of different sizes (but mostly small) that I would almost give to you. They are not the best looking tunics, but better then t-shirts. I would ask $10 (to dig them out and box them up) and whatever shipping would cost to your zipcode. I would just donate them to your group, but I'm not too keen about going through 20 boxes looking for them. Lol...

Is this small in SCA world or actual size small? I am a L/XL but lots of times I feel really "small" in the SCA, haha. Anyways, I am just getting started and would be interested if NeeSayer doesn't want them.

Cheap for the shire right now is around 20-35 a tunic, and looking for probably 6-8 tunics in different sizes and colors.


Hjamlr, I appreciate your kind offer but almost all of the tunics we have are smalls, we need more of the medium and up sizes. Thank you though.

Rosamund's clothes are built on SCA sizes, so if she says Large, expect it to be good on a fellow on the order of 6'4" and 300 pounds or so. Her "one size fits most" really does fit an astounding range of people, and she stocks tunics big enough for NFL linemen.

not sure what exactly you are looking for but i have linen tunics in SCA sizes that are early period appropriate. depending on colours and i could put togather a group order for you and make a deal. PM if your interested.
