Is either of these books any good?

I saw these advertised in a Dover online catalog:
The Mediaeval Tournament
Philosophy and Civilization in the Middle Ages
One can always learn more, and if these book are reliable sources I just might buy one.
Opinions?

No opinion on the first work. Amazon.com reviewers (four) give it an average of three stars.

On to the second. I'd be leery of any work that old (1922). History is a field which has been dramatically transformed over the course of the 20th century. Some of the essays in DeWulf are older than the anthology, like 1918. If it were simply a synopsis of the writings of Anselm, Aquinas and Occam, that'd be one thing. But it appears to provide analysis which, given the less-rigorous-than-today historiography of the Great War era, gives me pause.
I say buy it, but don't let it be the only work of that type on your shelf.

The Medieval Tournament is kinda like Ffoulkes Armourer and his craft I wouldn't necisarily trust the ideas but it has information in it that later authors don't necisarily talk about because it is in there. So yes it is a buy if you find it for a decent price. most books from that period by dover are on google books these days.
