Emperor Charles V statue in Toledo

Does anyone know who made it and when? The elbows wouldn't work very well as depicted, but that is primarily 'artistic license' and not wanting them to break off as they might if they were made accurately.

I'd be interested in more pictures from different angles. The helmet he is standing on sort of looks like a combination of Negroli and stylized Viking to me, so this may be rather modern, but I don't know...

There is a bunch of representations of Carlos V (who in Spain was actually Carlos I) as well as at least one full suit of armor in Madrid.

There are several paintings describing him in armour. In that context, it is highly probable that the statue was modeled after one of these....
