How many different views and angles can we find on Holy Roman Emperor Charles V's harness sculpted in his funerary group on his tomb at El Escorial? The entire sculpture is twenty feet high; detail ought to be superb. While considerable of his harness is covered with a great cloak, we may glean some details in spite of that. Presumably the harness would be of early mid-sixteenth date.
