Links to Photo Sets of Armour/Clothing

I was wondering if we could get a sticky with links to various photo collections of period armour?

It seems that there is a lot of topics from folks asking about pictures and if we collaborated and shared our links, we could probably create a pretty comprehensive "album".

Just a thought.

There's a bunch of armour in my photos from my trip to Turkey in 2007:

There's some western European stuff in the military museum and Topkapı palace sections.

Here's my only contribution so far... 150 photos from my trip to Vienna in 2006, snapped in the Kunsthistoriches Museum while it was under renovation. I think only about 2/3 of the place was on display.

I'll throw in mine.

Our local museum had a few pieces on loan from the Higgins.

Sweet! I need to find and scan a ton of photos I took of bushi armour at the Hachiman temple in Kamakura. All of it was period pieces and was set close enough to the glass for me to get some really up close and good pics of not only maille, but the bindings as well.

Those are great. When I have a few spare minutes, I just run a seach for photo sets of armour and then post the links here.

Like I said in the original post, it seems that folks are always looking for links to photos of specific armour that are in various museum collections around the world. I just thought that by putting as many as we could in one place (and I will go back and make mine a bit easier to find by era), we would have a "database" of information at our fingers.

If you are actually willing to share your images, you could join the AAF (http://www.armsandarmourforum.com) and sign in for the AAFID (Arms and Armour Forum Image Database).
There are 34000+ photos of arms and armour there.
It is free and quite amazing.

Wouldn't it be better to put these in the "I Wanna Be A..." threads. More work, but it'd tie things together.
