Two things:

- Generally, folks on this board prefer the use of decent English writing (Proper capitalization, punctuation, spelling). We're not fanatic about it, but you will be taken more seriously if you take the time to make the attempt.

- Check out the 'I want to Be a ...' forum. Specifically the Index will point in some good directions.

Welcome and good luck!

ps: a third point, I guess. You won't be spoon-fed answers here. You need to follow the links, read and study some. Questions are good, but if they show you didn't read what was given, little slack is given.

For garb, check out these links for:
12th century clothing - http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/wsnlinks/i ... &catid=283
13th century clothing - http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/wsnlinks/i ... &catid=284

You might also find the links on my site (larsdatter.com) helpful for looking at some of the clothing & accessory details, ideas for occupational costumes & livery, etc.

As for books, I'd recommend Medieval Tailor's Assistant: Making Common Garments 1200-1500.

Needs more links to Karen's site! And it's aimed mainly at 11th century, but much of the basics are still applicable.

Good luck!
