Alphabet \ Numerals

I was wondering if anyone has a full medieval alphabet and numerals of the type used on 14th century effigies and brasses for the purpose of research and art projects?

Writing style varied over the century and by location. I think the effigy of Sir Richard Buslingthorpe is dated in Thordeman to 1290, and in E&B to 1310. However, I was informed on another forum that a recent study of the Lombardic script on the slab reveals some peculiarities which were only found in Lincolnshire during the period 1320-35.

It's impossible to find a single script used on all effigies for a century.

You might want to Google "Gothic Lombardic Capitals". Even on the same effigy there are variants in the style of the same letter. Look at the two As at the upper left - one has a straight cross-arm, while the other is angled.

I think something like this would be helpful. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Rud ... pitaph.png However this is a translation of some type of secret message located on it, not of the "Gothic Lombardic Capitals" on top. While the Victorians and Edwardians got a few things wrong I would love to have all the medieval research from that time in one big library. I've seen books from the time with many pictures of effigies that don't exist anymore.

And does anyone have a rear pic of this little knight statue?

Looks like it would take some scaffolding to get it.

Doesn't anyone have that script all written out? I see scadian's with it on shields and other stuff all the time. Are people just kinda guessing at which letters are which or just copying slogans that have been translated?
