Question: 14th C. children's garb

What would children, more specifically babies, have worn during the latter 14th Century? I'm expecting to take my baby girl to an event in a month or so and would like to have some garb made for her. My persona is 1390's English and it would be nice to have something to match my persona.

Thanks,
paul

You'll find some examples at http://larsdatter.com/children.htm

For a baby, I'd suggest a white shirt with a large neckline, along the lines of the DurĂ¡n Madonna. (This is actually mid-15th century, but it's practical and suitable for a small infant.)

You might also want to check out http://larsdatter.com/slings.htm for some ways to carry your baby.

Yes, when we can. She's a very active baby already and will works her way out of blankets rather quickly when she's awake.

I actually have three articles/pages on kiddo clothing. They can all be found here: http://wp.bymymeasure.com/documentation ... s/children

Yeah...Sort of like this.
This looks like an accurately depicted outfit for a baby.
