After reading some threads in this forum I found som helpful information on ArmingDoublets-

* Can anyone date this doublet?
* Do you have any other good sources for this type of Doublet, app. 1440-1470?
* Any good ideas from you guys out there that use this kind of doublet, how to put the points, fabrics, and more details.

Thankful for all help I can get, since this is my combined fall/winterproject, to match my upcoming Brigandine.

OK, so where did you find the pic? I really like that one!

It looks (guessing) like about the first half of the 15th century. Reminds me in shape fo the pourpoint of Charles DuBlois. I could have the name a little wrong, but there is a good picture of it in AAMK. The one I am thinking of was late 14th century and there is still a bit of debate about whether it was for use with armor, since there is no obvious wear from the metal plates. Still, it forms the basis for some serious recreations of armor underpinnings and seems to work well.

My one arming doublet was a disaster. I plan to make another one based on a padded doublet in Janet Arnold's _Patterns of Fashion_ when I get the time. (Got a kid and another on the way, so there may never be time to fight, let alone sew.)
