Can anyone help me find this manuscript?

Hi folks,

I was trying to desceribe a manuscript to someone today, but for the life of me I can't remember its name. To the best of my memory, it had these features:
- late 15th to maybe early 16th C origin;
- from what is now either Germany, Austria or Switzerland;
- is illustrated;
- commonly depicts a lord or king fo some sort who:
-- wears gold/yellow armour
-- has reddish hair
-- and a forked beard
- the illustrations have this character, his followers and others getting up to all sorts of antics, both real and I think fantastical.

Can anyone help me out?

I think it may be the Emperor Maximilian in "Freydal." I have a book with an illustration from that on the cover.

Definitely gold armour and adventures but I don't recall red hair and forked beard.

Those are both handsome books, but not the ones I'm thinking of. The one I can remember is a bit older than both of those in style. Maybe 1475 or so.

Having looked at those what is different about this one, just stylle or substance as well. Are there lots of characters or just a few.....
