I'd love to see an article like this discussing people who were knighted for things other than combat. Though "arts" knights were rarer in period than combat or administrative knighthoods, I've heard of brewers, dance masters, cooks, etc being awarded Knighthoods in period, some to mid 14th c. There are examples of 'administrative' type knighthoods much earlier. I've just never seen the information all laid out in one place. It would be an interesting research project.

Titian was "ennobled" for his abilities, but I'm not sure if that equates with knighthood during his period.
