Examples of Knights in Shining Armour (SCA)?

Okay. Much as I love the Jerry Springer show, and a good ole flame war about CA, I am a tad tired of negativity at the moment.
So the topic is.
Give examples of good things you have seen SCA Knights do?
On the field towards non knights, off the field towards non knights. What have you seen that makes an SCA knight good in your eyes, in attitude, curtisey, understanding, and honour.

IMO Sarnac is an outstanding knight he is honrable and chivalrous to all. I have nothing but good things to say to him and imo the best thing sarnac has don eis his overwhelming aupport and recognition for new fighter as well as minors adn youth fighters. he is in my opinion one of the best people out there to bear the white belt.

Rats! I was hoping for a topic about SCA knights who actually wore gear that genuinely looked like the gear of a knight in period... Image

Could you please move this topic to the combat board ASAP? Higher visibility.

Yup -

This board is both lower trafficed than the others, and is also devoted to authenticity, so the topic really doesn't belong here.

I agree with the above, please move it. Image

Two things that pop into my head, firstly I saw a knight at a fairly large regional practice take a fighter who was really struggling aside and start to teach them the fundementals all over again. The fighter was very grateful for the individual attention, and eventually a few other people, all unbelted griavitated towards the teaching and an impromptu class was rolling along. This is particularly remarkable because in my region melee training is seen as the holy grail, anything that detracts from that trainig has been frowned upon. This has at times included teaching fighters how to be better singles fighters, a touch short sighted I know. Anyhow this knight wanted to be sure that the individuals were having a good time and learning what they wanted to learn, regardless of the orders of the 'high command'

The other encounter is anecdotal but it comes from my squire brother who hardly ever exagerates. At Pennsic about four years ago, he was lugging ice back to camp. As he described it carrying eight bags and dropping two every few steps. This knight came up to him and picked up half the load and walked with him back to camp in the North 28 area. They had a very pleasant conversation and after the knight had helped Daniel get everything packed into the coolers he excused himself and said he had to be getting back to his camp, and headed out.
In point of fact Daniel later found out the knight was camped in completely the opposite direction from North 28.

I greately suspect that they had a shaved pate in common and that produced an instant feeling of kinship Image
