Spangen teaser update

Got1.jpg is especially interesting, it looks like one of the Valsgarde helms, but the construction is much simpler, making me think it may be later.
I can't wait to see the finished page. Did you see the two spangenhelm pics I posted on your 'Groningren' thread?

--they are vendel helmets found on the island of Gotland, proves a couple of things
a) trade between the Svear and Gotland
b) that the Valsgarde/Vendel helms were just helms of kingly types (well it suggests this anyway)
as for the last one, i am still hunting a dating for it

--unfortunately it will be a slow process, i still have to date over half of them yet
still i am looking forward to jumping into this project after the first of the year (at this point i only have two MAJOR projects to deal with, woohoo!)
