Armour Listing Project - Besagews

This is to ask your help on a project. A list of armour pieces with when they were first introduced and when they were abandoned as well as the regions where they were used. I will post regularly a piece at a time and compile the results hopefully into something useful. When I have enough done, I will post preliminary results on my website so people can go check if they have something to add. When it is all done, we can put it here on the archive. Thanks for the help, comments, criticism, etc…

There was a thread about them just recently.
If I recall correctly, the consensus was they came into use in the late 13th century and went out of fashion about 1350. It wasn't until the early 15th century that they reemerged.
When they stopped being used again I don't know.
