I know it was in use in the mid 15th century but untill what time after that? Any particular regions more than others?

Thanks

Pat

seems to me to be associated more with the styles of the times. Ive seen it more with milanese than gothic on effigies and such..
IMO thats what makes the kit appear proper is the use of mail in key points like the neck and waste.

Maille was used by the Polish pancerni and Turkish sipahy troops in the 17th century. They were mounted archers and had a long hauberk, karvashes (or bazubands), and misiukas (a maille and plate helmet).

Ron, I am not talking about mail in general but the mail standard, or collar.
