A question about a later period

Post by Ned Chaney »

Some of you do LH of later periods ie ACW, WWII, 18th C colonial etc. Others of you know folks who do. Do any of you or your friends have URL's to reenactor sites and resources dealing with the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879? I'm really interested in this time period and would like to find some groups out there if there are any.

There was a group in the SF Bay area that did Zulu wars. A friend of mine played with them for awhile. He told me they even had a few guys who'd play Zulus. I'm not sure it was an offical group or just some guys who were just into it that all just happened to have all the right clothes...

I got to shoot a Martini-Henry. It was way cool.

They are a fairly closeknit group but not official. My ECW artillery unit had the honor of being mown down by their .45-70 Gatling last Dixon Scottish Games. They played fair and we dropped most of them before they obliterated us. I'll find out ontact info for you tomorrow.
