Last evening, I went with a friend John Sage (John Paul Devereaux, OP) to the Indianapolis Art Center and turned various pieces of 2x12 and 2x8 pine lumber into a pair of five-foot long trestle benches with splayed legs. These were made to match the "Peacock Table" we received as a gift about four years ago, and will allow more than one person a place to sit around our table when dining at events. If it's not raining after work tonight, I'll take pictures and post them to the Archive.
Next on the "Shoemaker's Children" list:
<B>
- Finish the heavy belt for my mailled chausses.
- Build a taller version of Bascot's famous clothing rack---tall enough to hang cloaks from.
- Finish my scale shirt.
- Replace the pennant pole to RainBringer.
- Remount my shield with a guige-strap and leather edgeing.
I have about a month to get all this done, and be ready for Pennsic.
