Hi Aaron,
I should know this but my mind is in need of a tune-up as well. I do remember that Maximillian I was more fond of the joust then foot combat. Which is opposite of Henery VIII (Max took him under his wing at a young age) who liked the foot combat better. Here is a pic of a very unusual foot combat helmet in the sallet form that was made by Lorenz Helmschmied for Maximillian I.

I think you are correct on the book with the woodcuts from the Weisskuning, I can't remember the name of it either.
I don't know if it would help you to know that the Weisskuning was created by Max for propaganda and was done in 1516 so the woodcuts willl reflect that time period. Another book that will definetly have what you are looking for but is very, very expensive is "The German Single-Leaf Woodcut, 1500-1550 (4 Volume Set) ". It is going for $495 new on Amazon. Sorry I wasn't more help,

Several of the drawings are included in Barber and Barkers book on tournaments.

Aaron, the title your brain seeks is "Weisskonig" which means "White King"

this has a teensy bit of text and a parade woodcut, probably not what you're looking for. However, I am at a loss as I cannot find what I think you're looking for either.

My copy is at home and I'm at work, but if memory serves most (if not all) of the drawings are shown in Anglo's "Martial Arts of Renaissance Europe". If you haven't bought that book yet I highly recommend it.

I looked at it on Amazon too!
$495 for a book I can't get previews to???

I could buy a helm and breastplate from Ice Falcon, and have it hand delivered to Japan in less time, for that price!
