Hi all.
I'm looking for Chains of state, Who makes them today. What style would be best for a mid 14th century Nobel or Knight.
Thank you for any help.
Thorstenn.

You do know that it would be an outstanding art/sci project. And you do know people who can help.

Check out this recent thread:
What is the SCA's feelings on collars?
As to which one is "best," it depends on what you want the jewelry to
mean. There are several places selling different varieties of chains or collars -- including
Drachenstein Treasures,
Billy & Charlie, and
Millingham Pewter Replicas; but for your question, I'd also have to ask where the 14th century knight/nobleman was
from. (For an English knight or nobleman, for example, you'd be looking more at the "chain of esses" style, which all three of these retailers carry in one variety or another.)
