I picked up some 1-1/2" by 1" 1018 steel at the market and made this test piece.
I was going to make a T-stake but changed my mind.
I just hung the top bar off one end and called it a L-stake.
I used to just C-clamp a piece of 1" to my work bench to hammer on.
I think this will be a lot more secure.
The back is undercut to roll an edge and the front is rounded to raise on.
It should reach well up into a helm.
It is sitting in a modified 1" tool holder.
What do you guys think of it?
Hal

I only have one question: How much?
Re: New raising stake I call it an L-stake
I was thinking around 75 but the tool holder is optional.
I could add a vice or hardy hole retaining lug if needed.
Like these tools have:

That's a cool idea! Do you make small off set ball stakes for raising elbows?
