The eastern shores has Ursus, we've got InsaneIrish. :D Check these awesome pics.

That guy on the right, Aron, I fought him once (my polearm vs. sword & shield). One of the very few guys I've fought that I had no idea what to do with. Consequently, he beat me quite handily!

The Archive's own Anjouleme! May god save me from her wrath! Ouch!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's Sean of the Chipendales. The beatings he hands out send grown men fleeing for the hills.

This just looks like a whole lotta bad news for somebody!

I had the luck to be able to fight with Sir Hirsch - in the last photo, (now Crown Prince), on a brief trip to St. Louis a few weeks back. It was loads of fun and I highly recommend it. Very nice pictures, and a lot of fun to look through the album.

So where are all the greatswords I've been hearing about?
Sweat in the tiltyard, or bleed on the field.

That is Sir Angus and it's made out of two different colors of the plastic lamellar. I don't know which two colors but it does give a nice look.

Oddly enough, same EXACT shot, by me, at a different angle:

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Actually I believe they are leather. Look at this pic, they seem to be flexing to much to be plastic:
