Good to hear you are starting on them. Archive member K1e1 posted pics of his first finished one a couple of days after recieving his kit. That was a couple of months or so ago, though. Most have replied to me as to recieving thier kit, but not much after that, some tell me they are finished with the metalwork but not padding and strapping. I am curious as well.
Castings, do you still need that wayward piece replaced?

I'm having a devil of a time getting the pieces rounded JUST RIGHT to make things line up. I have the cuffs made and rolled (R1 and L1) and I have the first piece attached to the left one (L2) but trying to attach L3 has been difficult. This is a first try for me and mixing the anticlastic curve on the ends of the rounded piece... well I just can't seem to get the holes to line up. I used a 1 1/2 pipe form to make the anticlastic curve and an anvil horn plus basic bending by hand for the normal bending. Any suggestions for getting it "just right"?

Brother Fredrick, the last time this came up for me, the armourer had the transition piece upside down. The anticlastic curve really only affects the last inch or so of each end. This can be formed into the piece by backing it up after rolling with a soft wood like the edge of a pine 2x4 and striking a pass with your ball pein down the center. Email me at armourer@zweihammer.com if this still eludes you. I am putting together different kits, but my day job and family have kept me busy this past couple of months. I have had prototype pieces cut over a month for the top of a Valsgarde 6, but have had little time to put them together.
Will post for all to see when they are ready.

At this point, I'm not 100% sure of what I will need, but I'm pretty sure I have screwed up one entire thumb assembly beyond salvage... I've still got the other two pieces left, I'll let you know once I've got those formed (or destroyed beyond recognition).
