you know the metal on the floppy disks what type of metal and what gauge do you think it is

I think it's aluminium and is very very thin.. i think around a tin can.. don't know the gauge value.. but surely useless for armouring.. Image otherwise if you lost the piece from a floppy and you want to replace it, open the floppy, take out the disk and put it into a new case Image

While in the midst of destroying them for pure fun, I think I had a magnet stick to a few of them. So it might be some magnetic alloy of stainless.
