First attempt at a bevor (left handed) - WIP

Post by KinnieKat »

Hiya!

This is my first proper attempt at armouring since breaking my right elbow in February, so I'm posting progress pics in an attempt to keep myself motivated. Despite being on strong painkillers, my right arm can't take much shock, so I'm doing all my hammer work with my left hand.

I am aiming for a late fifteenth century German bevor, complete with falling lame. The photos below show the start I made yesterday, not much of one, but unfortunately I can't do much work at once.

You are off to a good start at metal pounding.
Dish and planish till it fits.
Sand and trim as necessary.

Be mindful of your hands, elbow and shoulder joints.
This endeavor is not for the weak of heart.

Welcome to the archive.
May you pound long and prosper.

Cheers,

Hal

Thanks Hal. :)

Well here are another couple of photos. Going slowly, but not much I can do about that. :(
