Cool Viking Helm

Post by Woodstock »

The pic is not mine and I'm not sure where it came from, but it's still a cool idea/helm.

Hey cousin It!!
Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience

I can imagine that from across the field it looks like someone wearing *only* a spangenhelm. With a bit of a trim it could be made to look more realistic.

I think that is a kick ass helm also.

Thanks for the pic.

Is it an SCA helm?

Thats badass, except I'd lose the little red bows on the 'stache. With those in it looks too much like somebody lashed a blonde wig to the front of their helm(which seems to be exactly what was done).

No... the red bows are the tits.

Hal

PS: Blond wig?
I thought it was a mop.

It's made by Nicolas de Mont Nord aka Niklas Westén from Nordmark, Drachenwald.
If I remember correctly he made it back in 90-91 or so..
The "wig" is horsehair and the helmet is made from 14gauge steel and it's fully sca legal.

Later it recieved a much nicer top, slightly more conical and with a much better finish.

Neato. Even more neato would be a pic of the update Ambrogio mentioned... just to see where the bar is now set.
