I just finished my first try at a flute, made from a deer leg bone that my girlfriend found in the woods. It plays a scale from C to G, with a B bellow the C if I cover the bottom end halfway, and a G# if I overblow it. The tuning's not bad (surprisingly).
And here's a sound clip (I'm not playing a tune, just messing around and seeing what the flute can do):

It was a lot easier to make than I thought it would be. Here's the tutorial I used (not very detailed):
