I agree. It looks really cool, but not norman. It looks more early period than that.

Nice looking helm, but like others have said, not really norman.

It is more 6th to 7th Cent to be honest, specially with the hardware you added to it.

It resembles my helm a little bit, and its based off a 6th century ostrogoth helm.

But is very nice looking. Nice clean lines.

It is a good looking helm.
Looks like you know how to handle the most dangerous tool in the shop.
I havent gotten over my belt sander slam dunk thumb thing yet.

I just re-watched Kingdom of Heaven, and now I want to make a high point Norman. :idea:

PS: The guys are on to something about your helm style being earlier than Norman.
However for SCA and the bargrill requirements... I think it will be just fine.

I was guessing what type of helmet it is because I made it to the specs of the customer. I am not big on periodness of items i make,just function and loooks. Was definately a fun project.
