Ok I did not read what everyone else had to say!

But I have fought 2 sticks in war and my baron only fight 2 sticks and dose a damb fine job: 2 stick fighter in my view make great flanking units in a well formed shield wall, 2 stick with LPTT are grate for WAR.

My tips for doing this:
1) Stay close to the shield wall or a shields man.
2) Learn to parry arrows with your sword ( go good way to learn is to get someone to throw a tennis ball to you softly and you try and hit it, when you get the hang of that get them to move away about 10 yards and throw the tennis ball AT you!! better parry!!. when you can hit the tennis ball try a smaller ball ( the reason I don't trainee parrying balls not arrows with my friends is the arrow can easily brake and then friend has no arrows for the war Image most lights don't like to get their arrows broke but will accept it if it happens in WAR)
3) keep your eyes open and alert, a shields men can forget about some arrows when he has a big shield but as you know you don’t got one
4) for a little more fun stay with your own pike men ( grate if there are no lights ) if they make it passed the pike they get nothing but sword.

But as normal this is just my way of seeing thing it’s FUN and if you have seen any of my other post, I fell there should be more people playing just to have fun.

But go ahead and give it a go ( HEY what’s the worst that can happen? You’ll DIE, the Fight will end, you’ll get up, slug some water and go again. )

MY version (been there done that)

2-stick: gets past point by luck and grace of god
Spearman: goes to high guard and retreats
2-stick: rushes
4 friends of spearman : hit 2-stick fighter simultaneously. 2-stick fighter twitches, screams, and falls down.

I have to add my version to this stream.

2-stick: gets past point because he's fast
spearman: retreats to his friends
2-stick smiles really big at the four spearmen
4 spearmen: start creeping up
2-stick: Parries all 4 pike to the sides rushes in kills 2 starts swing for the third
sword and board: smacks 2-sticks in the back of the head.
2-stick: falls down, his friends charge and destroy remaning spearmen and sword and board while they try to recover.

Happend twice at the last war. Ofcourse when it was down to me and spearmen on my side I charged killed one died and my spearmen watched from a distance. I hate spearmen (the general mass of them not individuals) you can't depend on them.

Yeah. The spear is meant to be an aggressive weapon in a skirmish. It's only for wusses when it's pike-square time and they can hide among the masses. Any spearman who waits for the swordsman has no idea what he's doing. A good spearman *forces* the swordsman to try to take his point by aggressively wading into him, setting him up for the kill. The spear is designed for dominating space: anybody who doesn't go do it either has a spear too heavy for them, or doesn't know his own weapon.

Yea a good spearman could rip the crap outta me. But I still think that two swords is supeior to spear. I've been fighting for 4 months and I was killing them in droves.

Count Hevec (sp?) killed so many with his spear that it showed me respect for a good spearman. His new nickname is Havoc.

Tim,
I dont mean to be rude but if you were killing spearmen in droves then you're shield wall was not doing their job.

If a 2 stick gets close enough to kill a spearman, the shieldwall should club them before they get that close.

I was running on the flanking group. Plus I didn't see many shields on the Mists side. But most of the times I died it was a sheild man comming around and smacking me while I was engaged with spears.

Ammend that the Sheild man usually tackled me and the spearman pointed at me and said "You're dead m'lord"
