Steel in Boston

Post by gavinblakwode »

I recently moved to Boston from Chicago. Now I've settled down and want to work on a few armor projects. So I need some steel and I've found a few places in the yellow pages. But I would like to give my money to businesses that are nice to armorers/SCA. Has anyone found a good place to get steel in Boston?

Also any other good recommendations for general armory supplies in Boston would be appreciated as well. :D

There's a place called the Stainless Co. in South Boston off Andrew Square, around the corner from where I used to live (still in business as of 2006). They used to sell me off-cut scrap in both mild and stainless by the pound for reasonable prices, plenty enough for my personal armoring projects. Good place.
