I am in need of a pattern for a fluted pnrygian helm. Any help would be welcome. Even if someone knows where I can buy a stainless top for one.
Thanks,
Edward

the patern for a fluted helm is esentially the same as a non fluted one. It just takes extra time, work and tools. The difference in pattern may be a reduction in circumference from the fluting process depending on how deep the flutes are driven and in what process. If the metal is stretched more then pulled the circumference will hardly change, if pulled then it may change a lot. How much pull vs stretch is highly technique dependent so you may wish to perform a few test pieces.

As for buying a stainless top, have you tried rough from the hammer?
