Pennsic 17 Scans

Post by Skutai »

Some really old photos, taken with a disposable camera at Pennsic 17. Can you believe they let just anybody walk into the bridge battle to snap a few pictures?

Can you send me a copy of the second pic if you still have the negatives?

I'm afraid the negatives are all long gone.

Yep. With John the Pell right behind him.

First shot had the King of the Middle - Corwyn (sp?).

No shots of HRM East though.

Yup. Corwyn Dragonstar, to whom I was squired. Sadly, I was unable to follow him to Pennsic that year due to the birth of my 2nd daughter. Beside him is (now Sir) Brandr Halfdanr, also his squire then. The name of the female marshal escapes at the moment.

4th pic has Duke Palymar in it.

Not to detract from the illustrious company, but in the third photograph, center of frame, is my friend Pinhead with a foam lobster on his head.

Some Northern boys lined up there in the back of the Morgan picture... wish I could tell who...

The two kites in the center are Master Tuorlough and Master Takichi back when they where Master Ferals squires. And I think that the coffin shield to the right belonged to Duke Balfar.

Mistress Alinor of Braeford, but probably not Mistress quite then.

I remember that lobster! Great pics Skutai.

I wonder how many people in those pics are still wearing the armour in them.

I'm pretty sure John the Pell is...
Interestingly, in the woods video, I'm pretty sure there is one of the first appearances of the Northern Army star at a Pennsic...
It's blurry, but:

Coincidentally, in the foreground of that picture on the right is Krinen Macbrude, aka the Aratar, founder of Dagorhir.

Oh my stars and garters that is ME!
Second picture, second in from the left, with a black bar visor barrel helm that Karl von Sussen made in his shop in CT. To my left is now- Master Beowulf Meerstapa, to my right Pondscum (now Hrut). Next to Scum is Takechi (with the fancy painted shield) and Turlough, both Masters at Arms as well.
My first Pennsic.
