Here is where I spend my time when I'm not at work or sleeping. Notice the enormous amount of floor space and the almost endless rows of high tech machinery lining the walls. Ha Ha.You can get a sense of scale by looking at the standard carpenters square on the floor.

On one hand, my condolences.

On the other, look at the plus side: despite the diminutive space, it IS space you can use for armouring (at a premium for us apartment dwellers). And to your credit, it's well organized to maximize useable area, to a degree which reminds me of some Japanese apartments. Here's to the day when space is not the limiting factor!

To be honest with you that looks to be about half the size of my first apartment in Japan. However, my apartment was never as organized as your shop!

bigger than my first one. And I did a lot of good work there. The biggest problem with small workspace is that you spend more time taking out and putting away tools than you spend making armour.

Uh, guys, I've seen his shop. This picture makes it look much bigger than it actually is. Nevertheless, an amazing about of armor has come out of it.

Sadly, it is _still_ more shop space than I have now.

It just shows us, once again, that it's not the size of the shop or fancy tools, but the talent applied that counts.

My neighbors in the apartment were not happy with my hobbies

so I'm glad I moved to the family farm 22 years ago. I have more space but, alas, talent is always slow in coming.

A concrete floor! Racks for tools! Space to use a bench grinder!!! You don't know what you've got!
My workspace is a bit smaller than that, on top of a carpeted floor, and my work area happens to be my bathroom counter, so I have to worry about metal chips going into my lady's contact stuff, my toothbrush, etc.

Thank you, Rainald. I'm glad I found this post. That was really inspirational. My 'workshop' is whatever space I can find in my already cramped bus. In fact, I lost most of it when I installed the fireplace. What I need to do is add on a second story for the bedrooms, & have the workshop downstairs. Know anyone in the Outlands who works sheet metal/auto body customization, for cheap?
