Glad to see another installment up, and I applaud your doing this. I think the videos are awesome.

I don't totally grok the "get them on the field fast and cheap with plastic" concept, but I can appreciate that it works for some people.

I think the idea is to get them on the field and get them practicing and improving asap. Very few new fighters come in knowing exactly what they want to be and what armor will work for them. It can take years to get your rig just right. Why wait for the perfect armor when you can be improving until it happens?

Plastic Teaser

Post by Gemini »

Hello all. I have gotten some e-mails asking what the project will look like so I thought I would throw up a "Teaser" to show the harness. Also you will note my "soft sword" helm design, made from the same plastic and a catchers mask!

Hope you like it!

Sad to say, I think the "get them on the field" is going to hold some priority. It seems to me that there is a dearth of newer fighters. If this helps remedy that, I think that's a good thing.

Other than the plastic helm all of that armour can be covered fairly cheap-like. I think it's a great tutorial on quickie armour so someone can get on the field and see if it's something they'd like to invest money in.

Thanks Gemini for these, I've passed them on to a few friends and new guys who I think will benefit from your help.

Make us some maces and I'll fight you with them. Fighter practices are dull with just sword and board anyway. How about a Michael Jackson Beat It-style knife fight?
