ATTENTION- THESE SHIELDS HAVE YET TO BE COVERED WITH CANVAS OR RECIEVE A DROP OF EPOXY SHELL. THE PICS ARE HERE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH SOME IDEA ABOUT SHAPE.
These are made from 1/2" birch plywood. The striking edges have been given a reenforcement ring on the backside of the shield in order to keep an authentic appearance while providing a full inch of wood to the striking edge before any epoxy shell has been added.
Boss hole is the standard 5 1/2" that a vast majority of SCA shield bosses are designed to fit.
Finished shield will be very smooth and covered with two coats of scraped gesso to give the perfect painting surface.
$160 each
Estimated time to 100% completion is three weeks.
