ltb heat blued/brass demi gaunts.

well it seems i will be in the market in the near future for a new set of demi gauntlets.
i need them heat blued with brass decorations made to match my current kit.
does anyone know who makes a decent hourglass style demi, that can heat blue?
i really just need a price quote right now so i know how much i need to come up with.

how much and what style of brass decoration? is 16G mild and chemically blued ok? fixed cuff non articulating like the cuff from a finger gauntlet... how much fluting or decor where you looking for?

ok really i prefer heat blued because i want them to match the rest of my kit.
in this pic you can see all the metal bits are either heat blued mild or brass.
so the color really needs to be as close as possible.
the decoration i was looking for was trim around the cuff scalloped like the edge of my helm and the bottom of my spaulders. simple brass around the edge of the hand and "maybe" a decorated brass piece around the wrist.
yeah the cuff would be non articulating.

sweet phrygian....nope, I cant heat blue, but that color looks alot like the stuff a friend got from Steel Mastery.

it should the helm came from them.
the rest was done by allan over at the mercenarys tailor.
im open to suggestions as well,
i was originaly getting a pair of leather demis from sir atzinger but he is having issues with his hands so i thought i would look elsewhere.
i could posible go for painted mild as well its just that the original post is what i would like first.
sometimes other people can come up with something that would look great i, its good to get other opinions.
either way like i said im open to suggestions.

another option would be to have one of us make them and finihsed to a nice polish. just fit the brasses with pins for now. and send them to either Halbard or Knotwolf ( I've seen Hal with a nice blue on an early spangen, and I know richard at Knotwolf can do just about anything). but, IMO that would be a Pain in the A of do this ship it here wait and arrange. I'll keep my eyes open and ask some of my friends. good luck...still a nice looking rig, man.

I can make you a pair of hourglass styled demi's with brass edging on the cuffs and a brass band around the wrist,with dished knuckles and blackened for $200.00

i seriously love the stainless hourglass finger gauntlets on your site.
they are just a bit out of reach for me at the moment.

$150 for Articulated blued mild steel half gaunts. $75 for brass trim.

i like the price, what would the difference be for the hourglass / non articulating type be?
im making finger gauntlets out of them and i already have fingers and gloves and dimi,s tthat work i just need nicer demis instead of the egg armory plastic ones im currently using.
now that i think about it how much would it be to add the metacarpal plate as well.?

The hourglass type require much more work to form the knuckles and the metacarpal. The price would be much higher. The articulating demi's are easier to make and therefore are less expensive.
