I was thinking the same thing, and then I was thinking, "But what if it got caught on the spear, and the spear got ripped away from him?"

But then again, it would be priceless to see the look on the opposing fighter's face if he pulled a spear away from a guy and the arm came with it! :)

Find James at war and ask him about the gauntlet incident.

no need to wait for war. i'll tell that one to. during the same town battle this year at gulf a hold was called because a gauntlet was on the ground and a marshal picked it up and yelled "who does this belong to ?" i couldn't resist and slid my stump out of my shield and came out in front of the line and yelled "i think it's mine !" while holding up my stump in the air. and then i said"you find my hand to ?". he almost threw it to me then got embarrassed and started laughing. as did others. lmao.

You sir are an inspiration.

As a disabled person trying to fight again I know how hard it can be to make things work. (I have both my arms but the shoulders dint fit the sockets properly so are loose and in constant pain)

I salute your dedication and hope you have many years of fighting ahead of you.

Also I do not believe it to be immodest to tell others of overcoming hurdles to achieve greatness.

Well done indeed :D

Freaking badass. This is why there is no whining in SCA fighting.

Or at least why there shouldn't be.
