Outrance VI. To fight, armed with throwing spear, pollaxe and dagger until one is unable to continue or the judges stop the fight. The loser to pay a brooch, jewel or gem to the winner's lady.
I will accept this challenge.

As I see there will be many who wish to do arms before the ladies, it might be uncourteous to allow one gentleman to do single combat twice before another had had a chance to fight at all. So I would like to suggest that if you wish to offer to match another's offer to do specific arms, that you say that you are willing to do those arms, against them or any other gentleman of arms and without reproach.
I'm still working out where I need to be when and with which weapons during this upcoming Pennic Faire. But it is my intent to attend to my cousins at this noble endeavor and provide a worthy challenge unto them and fine sport/entertainment for this most worthy gallery of inspiration.

Well Frack! We were trying to schedule my daughters birthday party so it would be done in time for this... Now I gotta go reschedule.

Edit: Wait, I'm confused. Did you go with what is published online at http://www.pennsicwar.org/penn39/MARTIA ... sched.html and then edit your initial post? I can't see a difference. I can make the one on the Pennsic schedule.

I've edited my initial post to conform with the current Pennsic schedule, as published online. I've queried the battlefield scheduler and coordinator and not heard back. I have to assume that the latest schedule determines when we'll be able to fight. I see that they no longer have any of the smaller lists that day, so I assume they wanted all of the available battlefield real estate for the Castle Shootout, which ends at 1:30
I wanted to avoid the risk that someone would see only the old post.

Gotcha! It's all good. See you Tuesday. I'm bringing matched greatswords that I re-did the grips on in leather and hopefully matched ecranche shields for spear and ecranche play.

Val, we tend to end pretty close to on-time, which means the combattants should be wrapping up by 6pm. We discussed making the AA gathering an 8pm start time. Not too much conflict there.
And if you want to be helpful, we will not turn away offers for setting up and breaking down. We put up multiple viewing galleries and a list field, etc.
I must apologize to our host and to my most noble opponent, as I am forced to withdraw from this contest. I was hospitalized on Sunday, and though I am on the way to recovery, I have been ordered to stay off the lists for at least a month.
Sir Leo- should our paths cross before next Pennsic, I'll gladly make arrangements to complete our deed.

Heal. There will be another time. I think I'll be tired as it is with the multiple outrance bouts!

Amazing, amazing event. The displays of chivalry and valor shown upon the field were truly inspiring and have compelled me to become one that is hopefully worthy of participating in such an endeavor.
Much thanks to the Company of St Michael, Master Galleron, its victor; Leo/Sir William Marshall the Black and all the various participants and members for creating such a magical experience.
I look forward to joining such magic next year.

Truly I have found inspiration in this game again. Lucian could not have said it better. To the Company and all who participated, thank you for stoking the flames of inspiration in me again. I aspire to join your ranks soon, should the ladies wish it.

This was a fantastic event. It was my honor to participate. My thanks to those who put it together and for my noble opponents.
I live for this kind of deed and long to participate in more of them.

I had an outstandingly good time during this deed. I'm not sure it was possible for me to have more fun. My thanks to the organizers, the ladies who were scheduling and making sure we had drinks , the ladies of the gallery, the musicians, and of course my worthy opponents.
I can't wait for the next one!!

I missed this also but I was suffering heat exhaustion by the time this started and there was no way I was jogging top-side to armor up. Why does Pennsic have to be in AUGUST? October is such a nice month in PA.
We St. Mikeys may be a little sloooww, but we eventually figure things out. I think that by approaching the various attendees and lining up the challenges well before each fight we finally got the rhythm right, and the fights rolled right along, no long pauses between each one.
This was definitely the snappiest pas we've ever hosted. Wish I could have paused long enough to enjoy it myself!
This kind of thing is why I joined the SCA, and was hoping that events were like when I joined.
I can't wait to see some pictures, and it was by far the best thing I attended at Pennsic this year.
I truly enjoyed the few minutes I got to watch this.
It is with great remorse that I must admit to having yielded the field to Sir Leo without even having a fight. I was too run down from the Bridge Battle to have anything left to fight him. However, Protecting my King was first priority.
Sir, someday we will get our chance. (gotta work on better cardio)

Just have fun and do right by yourself and others.
I want to thank the attendees for their kind and encouraging words. It gives me reason to stay on. Now let me tell you why I've been thinking of leaving the Company.
For the last 4 or so years, Maitresse Muriel and myself have labored hard to set up the galleries, provide seating -- Muriel more than myself. This is hard, unglamourous work. It results in feeling dirty and sweaty and we both have to run back to camp to shower and re-dress to be presentable every year. This year we were late, and our Challenge started late.
I apologize for that. We do have an explanation, though.
We only had 4 people total out there to set up a lot of infrastructure. Without Baron Angus Tailor setting up the list field and his wife Mistress Brangwyna assisting Muriel and I with the galleries, I don't know what we would have done.
So, I ask the Company members who only show up when it officially starts -- to come much earlier -- at least 2 hours earlier -- and make light work with many hands. I also ask non-members who want at least one Passage of Arms to continue happening at Pennsic to volunteer to show up 2 hours beforehand to help set up. If we'd had the numbers for set-up that we had during break-down, set-up would have gone just as quickly and effortlessly. We could have started on time.
Please consider this request for next year. We would be grateful.
I was able to see a little bit of the Challenge after I plodded back down from the rapier woods battle to where we regrouped at the Atlantian Royal Pavilion. It looked amazing. For some reason, I find great-weapon combat between people in shining armor to be much more appealing to watch than standard sword-and-board slugging.

It was awesome to see so many skilled opponents who had studied. So many people were using the actual techniques for the weapons. All of the fights were a beauty to behold and I loved watching all of my goodly freinds on that field fight. Such grace......

My heart is heavy and saddened at not being there to support St Mikes in the Pas this year. Unfortunately a back injury and the mundane world sunk its teeth into this year. It is with great anticipation I look forward to next years Pas. As it is the splendor, valor and chivalry displayed at these great tournaments’ that give me encouragement to better myself. The beauty and grace of the ladies of the pas, the splendor of the combatants the pomp and circumstance these are the parts of the middle ages that I believe in. My May sword always strike with justice, may my heart always be filled with valor and may I always strive to achieve chivalry in all my deeds
