3 Pairs of gauntlets for sale (All Sold!)

Post by Talbot »

Several years ago I looked into having GDFB produce armour for me. This is some of the material I bought from them.

SOLD Gauntlets #1: 14th century fingered hourglasss gauntlets with brass trim. Glove included. These were what they were already producing when I began investigating. Size Large (a pair). Retail 125 British pounds sterling. Yours for $125.00 US

Gauntlets #2: 15th century Milanese mitten gauntlets with brass trim. Strapped to wear. These were what they were already producing when I began investigating. Size medium (a pair) Retail 95 British pounds sterling. Yours for $95.00 US

SOLD Gauntlets #3: 14th century fingered hourglasss gauntlets. These are what I tried to get them to produce. Although the knuckles appear angular in the pics they are quite round. They just could not quite get what I was going for so I abandoned the project. Ready to stitch to a glove. Size Large (a pair). Yours for $125.00 US

Dibs Gauntlets #3.

that is if you think these would be passed by an SCA martial.

1st dibbs on pair #1 and 2nd dibbs on pair #3, I think someone I know would want these depending on what they're made of....

16 mild.

I would pass them if they were securely sewn to a glove with a layer of thin pad between the glove and the leather especially.

One question before dibs. Is the wrist open on the inside? If so, I sold my old pair because of that so I'd pass too.

They wrap all the way around. The ones with brass are shorter on the interior and the ones without are full bell cuffs but they both fully wrap.

Now I make it:

Ray, these will be offered to you, same price, after Pennsic.

My Squire is going to be doing a refit/rebuild of my Wisby gauntlets, and these are to service while that goes on.

Someday, I'll get a pair of Brian's mack Wisby's......someday!

After Pennsic

Consider it a done deal if that offer still stands after Pennsic... I will be looking forward to it.
