WTB full gauntlets

Post by NeeSayer »

I'm looking for a pair of full gauntlets that aren't blingy or shiny. My persona wouldn't of worn gaunts so need something that doesn't scream out chrome. Also, I plan on fighting great sword quite a bit. I was looking at leather fulls, but not sure how they do with great sword.

New or used doesn't matter as long as they're protective. Enclosed thumb tip preferred, but not required.

Check out the Leoric's work in this thread.

I just got a pair of the non-blingy blued steel and leather ones he makes. Look amazing and protect well. Great guy to deal with and good prices.

Check these out...

These are a set that Leoric made for me and decided to add them to his design list. My persona(10th cent. Norse) wouldn't wear gauntlets also so I can up with this concept to accommodate this. check out my review that I wrote after getting in my set yesterday and using them at my local practice last night... No one can beat such a great product for such a great price!

We can help as well. Blackened stainless, mild steel or black kydex are all available. Closed thumb is no problem.

theyre satin finish stainless but i'll have fingermittens available at pennsic for pre arranged delivery or can ship after pennsic. 500 at pennsic or 550 shipped theyre on the arms secton of my site. If shipped i can do enclosed thumbtips for extra 75 you can also get the stainless blackening solution from caswell to make them black. They are very very protective and have fantastic dexterity

Matt, do you have any pictures of what the sca version of your finger gaunts look like? I'm thinking the wisby finger gaunts with the bridged finger and enclosed thumb might be the right choice here.....

Eric, I like the look (if I can't find a good pair of finger gauntlets), are you able to do a enclosed thumbtip?

Hjalmr, no offense buddy but while those look good for your market I can't find myself trusting my hands to something that costs 80 dollars.

I'm honestly hoping to find a pair of finger gauntlets with a splinted cuff (bell's are too obvious) in the 450-500 range with fingers that ground. I'm not picky about if it's stainless or mild. I would prefer an american armourer, but will think about others depending on the reviews I see.

Leoric does modify the knuckles and fingertips to ground-out onto the rattan upon request...

Yes, thip tip allready comes enclosed enough to phohibit smashing, but I can do a fully enclosed tip for no extra. I would also entertain doing you a splint cuff for a negotiable amount.

these sound pretty close, out of spring steel, if your interested. I could add enclosed tips with no prob too.

Ive stepped up to a solid articulation for the thumb as well.

I have seen some of these and would trust my hands in them (I work with my hands). The only thing I do not like about them is the solid thumb. Does not work with my style and aggressiveness :D

those are nice looking gauntlets.
What material& thickness are they?
