I want to get some wool for a viking migration-era overtunic, but I'm not sure what to look for exactly. I've done some research and found that they made fabric in twill and twill-based patterns along with herring bone weaves, but looking at the modern equivalents, I'm unsure whether it would work. Can anyone help me out?
What is the modern equivalent of viking-era wool twill?
What type of Fabric?

You can get accurate materials there. I really like the broken diamond twill. Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for.
