I'd like to buy a shield boss, nothing spun.
Steel, stainless perhaps.. maybe mild. Perhaps an option other than just a round boss. Any ideas would be great.

14ga mirror polished 304 Stainless Steel shieldboss. It has been cold worked(no annealing for maximum work hardness) in a spiral sunk pattern by my four ton dishing machine and has eight copper rivet #9 sized holes punched around the rim for mounting with simple copper rivets. Sinking is like raising in that it keeps the center of the boss at almost the full thickness so it is extremely dent resistant. A similar boss withstood a great sword when placed on cement steps and struck stoutly to say the least. It was then hit with a raw 2" rattan cane and didn't get a visible dent. it is about 2 1/4 inches deep and approximately 7 3/4 inches across. It weighs 1lb.
these bosses have proven to be extremely durable over the last 12+ years and should last your fighting lifetime.

I have one of these bosses. Got it from my knight about 8 years ago, and who knows how long he had it, but after years of abuse it doesn't even have a dent in it. A little buffing here and there and it's beautiful, like new.
I may have to pick up another if they are still available in a couple of months. Highly recommended.
These aren't available in ti, are they?
Ti bosses crack after a while.
I dont consider them durable enough for me to offer them.
sorry
